In the Rules of Procedure of Bangladesh Parliament a committee is defined as a committee which is set up by or under the authority of Parliament. A sub-committee formed by a committee will also be deemed as a committee. Formation of a committee, its power and responsibilities as well as procedures to be followed by it or in respect of it are regulated by the relevant provisions of the Constitution such as Article 76(2), the Rules of Procedure, parliamentary conventions and the rulings of the Hon’bleSpeaker of Bangladesh Parliament. Under the provisions as envisaged in Rule 188 of the Rules of Procedures the committee on the Ministry of LGRD has been formed of 10(ten) Members of Parliament on 03 April 2014.
